Countdown to CYP’s Photography Exhibition and Film Showing is on!

Although autumn is in full swing and the days are getting shorter, that still hasn’t stopped our young people from getting their creative juices flowing. We have not one, but two exciting events coming up in which you can view all the work our members have been doing over the past few months.

In just under two weeks we are showcasing a new short film that our young people have created called ‘Secure The Bag’. Throughout the summer holidays, young people got the chance to star and work behind the scenes in the film. The premier will be on October 12th and will take place from 12:00-13:00 at the Samsung building in Coal Drops Yard, Kings Cross (doors open at 11:45). If you are interested in attending please contact us.

As well as this on November 6th, we are holding a very exciting photography exhibition.

The past few months CYP has held a photography project run by Nathan Singh, a Ted Baker employee who volunteers his time teaching our young people the skills needed to be a great photographer. During these past few months, our young people have been working closely with Nathan in exploring different themes surrounding ‘Our Community’. In working alongside Ted Baker, Nathan has managed to provide our young people with the equipment needed to allow them to experiment. From film cameras, to digital, to even learning how to use green screen, our young people have managed to engage with Nathan’s plethora of knowledge and use it to capture their interpretation of ‘Community’.

As a result, the final products of their work will be shown at an exhibition on November 6th at 6:00pm. We would love to see as many friends, families and funders at both of these events. To find out more, just get in touch.
