Difficult times bring out the best in people at CYP

There is a famous quote: “Difficult times often bring out the best in people”; this has definitely been the case here at CYP. Since launching our Coronavirus Emergency Appeal two weeks ago we have already achieved over 50% of our target. As well as that, three wonderful funders have already awarded us with grants. We would like to thank: The Indigo Trust, London Community Foundation, and Local Giving’s Magic Little Grants fund. We are so grateful for all the support we receive as it enables our outreach workers to go out in the area twice a week and support young people that need help the most. Our outreach work has yielded very positive results and we are seeing young people being engaged. But, we can not do this without your help. CYP appreciates any donation big or small to reach our appeal target of £5,000. If you are interested in donating or would like to find out more visit www.localgiving.org/appeal/cypappeal

CYP Online is in full swing and there is still lots of exciting challenges young people can take part in! Last week we challenged our members to:

Monday – Baking cookies
Tuesday – How long can you hold a plank?
Wednesday – List three things you are grateful for
Thursday – If COVID-19 was a person, how would you draw them?
Friday – Group dance on Tiktok

If you’d like to get involved in our challenges check out our Instagram stories.
