No More Red – More Music

No More Red – More Music

“Music Can Change the World”
We know how important music is to the lives of young people. Helping them to create music is one of the most powerful tools we can use to reach the most vulnerable and disadvantaged in our community, and change their lives.
As some of you may already know, we had bold plans to refurbish our music facilities here at the youth club before the pandemic struck. Unfortunately, we were let down by a local contractor who had promised to undertake the work for free; leaving our current facilities in urgent need of refurbishment.
As such, we would like to introduce you to our new fundraising campaign – NO MORE RED – MORE MUSIC – in partnership with Adidas and Arsenal Football Club. Our aim is to raise £30,000 to allow us to develop a state of the art music room at the Copenhagen Youth Project, and launch a new strand of creative musical activity – Studio Next Gen.

Of the 40,000 children and young people living in the borough of Islington, 45% live in poverty – the second highest rate in the country. We know that young people in our community do not have the access to space, let alone the equipment and resources needed to develop their musical talents. Something really must change. A new state of the art music facility will ensure that we can provide the positive and creative opportunities needed for young people to develop and
showcase their talents; help them to build strong, meaningful connections with others; and develop vital life skills – making a real difference to every young person who walks through our door.

The long term plan is to develop the studio as a social enterprise run by young people, which will become sustainable as we develop an income stream through external hiring.
How can you help?
We can only achieve our goal by harnessing the collective power and generosity of our local community – coming together to ensure our young people have the best chance of a better life.
Here are some of the exciting ways for you to get involved:
  • Donate to our campaign – Every pound raised will ensure we can continue to support young people. Thanks to Gift Aid, the value of your donation will be increased by 25% and no cost to yourself. To donate, please visit our Local Giving page here:
  • We are launching a More Music Auction, asking businesses and individuals in our community to provide a range of lots that we can use to raise vital funds for this project. Whether you can offer experiences that money can’t buy, prizes such as flights & holidays, or can offer your services, we want to hear from you! Please contact us at
  • Become a fundraising volunteer – Thanks to the generosity of Adidas and Arsenal, we have 3 limited edition No More Red Arsenal shirts available for volunteers who can pledge to raise £5,000 for our campaign. From bake sales and car washes, to sky dives and bungee jumps; showcase events or sporting tournaments within your community, we want you to get involved. Send your proposals to us at
  • Provide services in kind – If you are a contractor, run an organisation providing state of the art musical equipment, or feel you can support our redevelopment work, please let us know at

Together, this is our opportunity – as a community – to positively transform the lives of young people, now and in the future.

Let’s ensure there is No More Red, but More Music.
