Summer Plans at CYP

Summer Plans at CYP

Lockdown is gradually being eased, and as of this week we have started to shape some very exciting summer plans. We have had some funding from Youth Music to run online production and performance tuition, alongside some live lounge sessions which will be up on our Youtube channel. As well as that, we are also planning some activities for our members that observe social distancing such as baking, girls football and outdoor fitness. For any vulnerable young people that are struggling, we will also be offering 1-1’s by appointment only. We are still making plans, and there are still lots more summer activities coming your way! Once we’ve firmed up our plans, all information and times will go live on our website so stay tuned.

The last couple of months has also been a challenging following the killing of George Floyd followed by The Black lives matter protest.  CYP stand in support of and in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement and will take active steps to fight against and bridge any gap in racial equity and injustice. We will also further educate ourselves and young people on the issues of racism and structural disadvantage. This has been a time to reflect, consider and action how we can evoke meaningful change.

As it is Small Charities Week, CYP would like to thank all of our funders that have graciously donated to us during these unprecedented circumstances, as well as anyone that has donated on our LocalGiving page. Your donations allow us to carry on running these programmes through these unfortunate times, and we are so thankful!
