Summer Shenanigans at CYP!

Our summer programme has been in full swing at CYP, and it’s safe to say that CYP members have definitely been spoilt for choice with so many activities going on this year!
We kicked off summer 2019 with our new filming project for an upcoming short film about life in Islington called ‘Secure the Bag’. This was a chance for young people to get involved behind the scenes, and also in front of the camera too.
Our football sessions have also proved to very successful as we were runners up in the U12’s Warren Cup; and winners at the 32 Boroughs Tournament and also winners at Coram’s Football Festival. Well done boys!

CYP members have also been keeping active at the circuit training that takes place every week on Wednesday in Granary Square.

We’ve also had some very exciting trips to Thorpe Park, Samsung UK, theatre trips, Brighton, Southend and We Out Here Festival in Cambridge.

Although the summer may be coming to an end there’s still plenty to get involved in including paint balling, an outdoor activity centre trip, Flip Out and a weekend away in Snowdonia. Download our summer timetable here.
We couldn’t put on our fantastic summer programme without our brilliant funders and supporters (that we are so grateful for!). Fundraising to CYP is super easy with Amazon Smile. Every time you shop online at Amazon CYP will receive 0.5% of each purchase. If you are interested then sign up here.
As well as that CYP are on the look out for an IT Assistant volunteer and a Cooking Club assistant volunteer. These are two very exciting roles that help CYP out a lot. To find out more about how to get involved then click here.
