Welcome our new Therapeutic Youth Worker!

Welcome our new Therapeutic Youth Worker!

CYP will support the Islington Youth Violence Reduction Strategy by creating a project in collaboration with young people. The project will take place over the week beginning September 27th and will address the issue of youth crime. It is not yet clear what the project or outcomes will be however following early discussions film, music and fashion seem to be the most favoured vehicles.

Further to some excellent applications and a series of interviews we have employed a new Therapeutic Youth Worker. KJ will join the team on September 13th, bringing excellent experience in detached youth work and progressive one to one support. KJ has a wealth of mental health knowledge and experiences to bring to the position and in leading the development of CYP’s trauma informed practice – and we are very much looking forward to welcoming them to the team!

In other news, we only have one more week to make the most of some generous match funding from the Four Acre Trust. If you haven’t donated before, and are able to donate £500+, we would love if you could help us out at on LocalGiving.
