At CYP, we are thrilled to announce that our dedicated volunteer, Antonette Bowen, has been honored with an award for her outstanding volunteering contributions at the prize-giving ceremony hosted by The Girdlers’ Company, a long-time supporter of CYP.

Antonette’s journey with CYP began at 17 as a member with a passion for music. Her passion and dedication quickly led her from member to volunteer, where she helped launch ‘The Young Creators’ project, engaging young people in podcast creation and music making. She also volunteered at the Cally Festival’s youth stage and hosted youth debates for the Islington Faith Forum, even during lockdown.

Antonette’s role at CYP didn’t stop there. She has led a project for girls and young women, focusing on financial skills, life skills, and creating a safe space. She’s also contributed to our social media content. Despite not being from the local area, her commitment to CYP has been outstanding, and we couldn’t be more appreciative!
