Max Nicholson Smashes Fundraising Target at London Landmarks Half Marathon for Copenhagen Youth Project

To top it off, Max’s efforts didn’t go unnoticed—he was mentioned in the Arsenal matchday programme v Fulham, gaining recognition from his favourite football club. You can still support his journey by visiting his fundraising page:

Last weekend, Max Nicholson laced up his running shoes and took on the London Landmarks Half Marathon, all in support of our work with young people—and he absolutely smashed it.

Running through the heart of the capital, Max not only completed the 13.1-mile challenge, but also exceeded his fundraising target in the process. Setting out to raise £3,000, Max’s final total came to an incredible £3,620. Every penny raised will go towards continuing our vital work supporting young people across the community.

"This was my first half marathon and it was a privilege to be able to run for Copenhagen Youth Project. My family are from Islington so this part of the world has a special meaning to me. The work CYP have already done and the investment they make in young people made it easy to get support from friends and family in getting generous donations. It was a boost hearing the support from everyone on the sidelines as I ran each mile and a great feeling at the end knowing that I was helping CYP build something so special with the No More Red More Music campaign. Running on behalf of the Arsenal Shirt Collectors group and receiving so much encouragement from members worldwide and the Arsenal match day programme was an amazing feeling. Thank you CYP for all the work you do."

We’re so proud of Max and grateful for all his hard work, dedication, and the amazing support from everyone who donated.

Thanks to Max and supporters like you, we’re able to keep making a difference where it counts. Congratulations again, Max!
